There was a photography themed wedding with lots of Turqouise and handmade wedding invitations made of 35mm film cassettes shipped to me by a complete stranger, an online photography friend from Ohio who I legitimately met for the first time on my wedding day.
There were polaroids of our adventures hanging from the trees in the reception garden, a film strip on our wedding cake, but most importantly there were vows - a sacramental partnership of love and life and to be ope to it.
I phoographed myvery first birth at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
We bought a house, I opened a studio, and painted everything Turqouise.
Met and photographed a couple of famous people, had my work printed by Nuclear Blast
The year I knew nothing, yet learned everything about birth. I learned that breech is just another variation of normal worthy of support, informed consent, informed refusal and even though my labor ultimately ended in an elective surgical birth - that was my choice and there are still providers who will continue to advocate for you even when you've given up.
I drove across the perimeter dodging traffic 6-2pm to photograph E-bay inventory at KEH Camera. I had a desk and a fish named E-Beta. It was worth it for the gear.

As a Senior in High School I was denied the opportunity to take Photography 101, due to a lack of prerequisites and instead was forced to take an introductory studio art course with "that teacher” who unbeknownst to me would soon change the entire trajectory of my life. Veronica advocated for my membership into the National Art Honor Society with just only one years formal Art Education. She taught me how to process my first roll of 35mm film and to cut my own gallery weighted mat board when I was too broke to afford them throughout college.
I also joined a metal band, met an animator who was also a drummer - proficient in photoshop, married the drummer, learned photoshop, had Five kids, asked my art teacher to be my Matron of Honor, and literally traveled the world to learn art history with my Auntie - but not in that order...
First Wedding from a gig listing Craigslist as a wedding photographer for $400.

The year I knew nothing, yet learned everything about birth - and even though my labor ultimately ended in an elective c-section - that was my choice, not my doctors. It was my doctor who sat peacefully at the foot of the bed advocating hard for me to have this vaginal breech birth, but after 43 hours of labor at 4cm dilation my motherly I felt an invitation from Our Father calling me to me to surrender, not my doctor. So, instead of a suggesting a cesarian he suggested "We start an epidural to allow rest and revaluate progress in 4 hours" It was that moment, or maybe it was when he checked me for 3rd time on the operating table before making the first Incision to confirm I was confident in moving forward with what he considered a non-emergent surgical birth that I realized, breech presentation really is just another variation of normal worthy of support, informed consent, informed refusal and some providers genuinely still believe that mothers can do hard things and providing the means to facilitate the journey to the families they serve.
What began as a few acts of love and an open invitation for sibling care turned into unexpected vocational discernment and self-awareness as I suddenly found myself emotional invested in spiritual and physical support for this family through the final weeks of moms pregnancy. Baby was breech. Although I had no educational background as a doula, I instinctively drew from personal experiences applying counter pressure, offering cold compress, reminders for hydration, movement, but most importantly trust in Our Father. This dear friend was a home birth transfer to the same provider who delivered my breech baby. The CPM, soon my home birth midwife. I was asked to be the Godmother for this dear child, and was asked to cut the umbilical cord. These birth experiences and connections with families are what I live for.
The Birth Story of Tiffany Lynn, oh hey, that's me.
A lot lyes on the shoulders of a High School Senior. Like, what to do with the rest of your life! Having never taken a single studio art class in my life, I was suddenly drawn to FOUR YEARS worth of creative curriculum! Unfortunately, many (including Photography) required multiple prerequisites I had zero time to complete before graduation. So, I enrolled in "Studio Art 1" and was dedicated to learning anything and everything I could in my time remaining on campus.
